No of Mobile operators in chennai have been increasing over the past few years.
First there was RPG Cellular / Skycell then came Airtel , Hutch which became Vodafone.
Aircel started its operations to capture the rural market.
BSNL a govt of india company also has a huge user base.
Chennai is a metro hence the no of ppl using the mobile phone to communicate to each other is huge.
Its a common sight to see ppl with phones in their ears in all areas of the city ..
Age , Society , Status does not matter . Each one uses a phone of their capacity and Prepaid is very popular
We had purchased one no.of Nokia Model1662 on Dt: 03.09.2009, from your Mugappair branch vide invoice no P.MPR/2995. Right from the day one , the instrument is not functioning properly.We had made complaint vide S.R no : 29300 dt: 07.11.2009.
Till date we have not received any information from your office regarding the above.
Kindly let us know the status of service.

Sub : Replacement of Faulty Mobile Phone purchased.
I had purchased a dual SIM Videocon Mobile IMEINO : 910041360069242 on the 28th Aug 2010 at 8.29 Pm Vide your Bill No 6001 for which the copy is attached along with this letter. The Mobile was switching off as soon as we got it from day one and we thought that the problem was due to the sensitivity of the feather touch buttons but in a few days ( a weeks time ) it stopped sensing my head set then stopped sensing the Charger saying that there was bad contact with the charger. I brought the faulty mobile for service to your shop on 15th Sep 20010 and was advised that service should be sent to the service center at ACCTEL Front Line Ltd 101, chinneys Chamber Dr Nanjapa road Coimbatore 18. I took the mobile there briefed them of the problems in the mobile and I was made to wait for 4 Hrs before they said that the same could not be rectified here as the board was to be replaced and they would send the same to Chennai to get it repaired. I then got a SMS from them on the 15/10/2010 11.15 AM that the mobile was ready and could be collected. I immediately went there to collect the same and was informed that they were closing the shop for Ayuda Puja hence they shall deliver the mobile but refused to give any receipt or note regarding the repair (However I have saved their SMS to me). I then asked them that the mobile was not even switching On they said that the battery was down and asked me to charge it and then check it. I tried to charge the battery and found the earlier problem still existed of not recognizing the charger and the message of bad connection with charger displayed. I had stored around 800 Phone No’s of my business contacts which were also lost due to this. The response at your service center is very poor and they have not repaired the mobile and after a month given the same claiming that it has been repaired. I have now two mobiles for the dual SIM mobile I purchased from you and also with the confidence over Videocon being a well known brand in India that I shall get a good performance and service from you. I request you that I have gone through lots of hardship due to this purchase and as I have my own Business and am always on the move allover India the only contact I have with my customers and family is the Mobile which stopped working while I was Out of station. I immediately purchased One CDMA and GSM Mobile so as to not loose any calls. Hence I have lost confidence if this mobile can be repaired successfully and request you to replace the same with a new piece for me to use the same with peace of mind. I also like to emphasize that I do not have the time to run behind the service center who are so irresponsible and do not respond to any quarries by the customers.
I hope you understand my predicament and replace the mobile immediately without putting me to further problems regarding the mobile.
